Lawrencetown is a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality. It is located east of Dartmouth along the eastern shore which is also known as Marine Drive. Lawrencetown is well known for its beach and wave action, drawing many surfers from all over the world. Lawrencetown Beach stretches for approximately 1.5 km and offers great surfing and scenic views. It is a provincial park with supervised swimming by lifeguards during posted times applicable to the season.
