Porters Lake

Porters Lake is a residential community in the eastern shore region of the Halifax Regional Municipality. The community is largely built around the lake from which it takes its name from. The residents mainly commute to jobs in Dartmouth or Halifax. Porters Lake is 19 km long and is one of the most popular lakes for recreational boating in the region. The communities which surround Porters Lake include Middle Porters Lake, West Porters Lake, East Lawrencetown, Three Fathom Harbour and Seaforth.

Seven Lakes is a new subdivision in the Porters Lake Area.

Lake Echo

Lake Echo is an unincorporated community that is part of the Halifax Regional Municipality, located just 15 kilometres east of Dartmouth. The area is mostly residential, with several subdivisions built in the 1980s and 1990s.
